Photography 101

This year I had my first photography class. The final exam required us to have 5 impeccable printed prints, meaning it had to have the right exposure time, aperture settings, and spot toned. Now this image is a photograph of a picture so the quality isn't the greatest.

The next image was from the  beginning of the semester and was a photogram  project. To create a photogram you place objects directly on top of a unexposed piece of photography paper and then expose it to light... the result is a high contrast image of the silhouetted objects. Again it's a picture of a picture so the image quality isn't the best.

self image sculpture

An open ended assignment was given to me in my beginning art class, it was a self image sculpture. It was open to our own interpretation...

this was my resulting piece of work. A dilapidated house sculpture with "me" inside. "Me" being the head on the glass bottle. It has various meanings to me, but as with any piece of art its also is open to the viewers interpretation.

personal Branding

personal branding is an important aspect of representing yourself in the working world. whether you're running a small business at home our are a national grocery chain, it lets customers see how you identify your self in the business world. are you ridged or loose. structured or laid back. the small amount of elements that go into your personal branding speak volumes about who you are as a person or a business.

in the future i hope to become a industrial designer. when given the task of branding my self for that job i though i didn't want to seem pretentious since i haven't even earn a degree in that field yet. it needed to be contemporary and display a simplistic design. theses are the designs i came up with...

the result was a design that i felt fit with the job and career of an industrial designer. when these items were printed i chose to use transparent paper, giving the text breathability.
